1. Data controller

The data controller for the Focuzy platform is the Focuzy project team.

2. Categories of personal data processed

• Identity and profile data: display name, avatar, user ID
• Contact data: email used for account signup
• Usage data: room participation, study durations, chat message records
• Technical data: cookie choices, session information, and basic connection metadata

3. Processing purposes

• To provide account access and authentication
• To provide real-time study room and chat functionality
• To maintain security, prevent abuse, and protect service integrity
• To measure service performance and resolve technical issues

4. Legal grounds

Your data is processed based on contract necessity (KVKK Art. 5/2-c), legal obligations, legitimate interests (Art. 5/2-f), and explicit consent for non-essential cookies.

5. Transfers and retention

Your data may be processed on domestic or international cloud infrastructure providers (e.g., Supabase) required to run the service. Data is deleted, destroyed, or anonymized when the purpose ends or legal retention periods expire.

• Learn whether your data is processed
• Learn the purpose and whether use is lawful
• Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
• Request deletion or destruction where conditions are met
• Seek compensation for unlawful processing damage
